Left Trieste for Potoroz yesterday morning. took an alternate route becau se of heavy traffic. Oh
Italia, Oh Slowenia your biketrails.,
We left the hotel around 9.30 and found the trail. soon we were going up and up and the trail turned to loose gravel, up and up we went on an old railway treck, but the views of Trieste and the blue Sea were beautiful. the trail went through a long very dark tunnel I could not see the potholes and than a group of 20 Turks came along passing me, Mac was way ahead, I got off the bike and walked the thing and made it. we rode up for very long time and finally it went downhill and we reached the town of Koper, had lunch, had some delicious calamare and on towards Piran and Potoroz. But first another long hill, this time paved and than down a steep cobbled path to piran a narrow treck along the Sea. here the motorscooters are allowed on bi ke path which makes it real interesting. Anyway we arrived safely in our Hotel Lucija at 6.00 pm.
cant write anymore have to be at border to Croatia at 9,30.
