BAD KISSINGEN, June 4th 2013

Here we are back in my home town. On the train ride from Frankfurt Airport to Wuerzburg I noticed how high the river Main was. I heard that they had a very wet April and worse Mai. We arrived in Wuerzburg early since the flight to Frankfurt arrived early and we caught the first available train. We sat outside in the sunshine and waited for my sister. At the house we found the fridge stocked with wine and food, had dinner und went to bed. That night the rain came in buckets and next morning the ri ver saale was flooding. Had a really good nights sleep. Went to town next afternoon and Mac bought a bike, which he likes a lot. I picked up my bike and we had our transportation. even so it rained on and off we never got wet riding around town. Christoph, Susanne and the Baby had come to visit from Munich so we all had dinner and visited at my sisters. Sunday went on a ride to check on the flooding, the river was over the banks and some of the roads and bike trails were flooded.Monday
that was yesterday, went to train station to get our tickets to Munich and Venice, ordered Bikeline books Bodensee-Koenigsee and Isar bike trail and had  Spaghetti Ice at the Italien gelateria The flooding had gotten worse.Weather has improved and today we have blue sky and sunshine.
Here are some pics from the flooding and ice-cream and the bike I borrowed for  Cheryl from my cousin Heidi
