We left Gunzburg and had 9k of dirt trail.  This section bypasses most of the towns until Gundelfingen.  Just passed there is the roman temple ruins.  The romans were there starting about 150 BC.  We then passed several castles in Lauingen, Dillingen, and Hochstadt.
On the last few miles we missed a sign and got on the wrong trail.  It was warm and we were getting tired and naturally J had another flat, this time on the front tire.  It got fixed pretty quick and we made it to Donauworth the back way getting a room at the Goldener Hirsch gasthaus.
Looking at the pictures of the houses along the Reichstrasse there's a distinct change in architecture.  No more fachwerk.  We're in the renaissance area.  More on that when we get to Regensburg
