back at base wednesday august 24th

well we got onto the train alright it was already sitting at there, good thing we were early, this time no steps rolled the bikes right in. lots of people got on amongst them some students from the university
passau, one of them, a girl carried a  big surf booard. we thought funny we are not anywhere near an ocean, but I had heard that people surf at the Eisbach (a little river in munich) the kids set down by us and they told us they were headed for munich airport were there is an artificial surfplace. funny to listen to them.
we had to get off at landshut to change trains to nuernberg, made that change ok, no steps, however  the train was 15 minutes late, so missed the connection, but no worries could get another train in 30 Min.  to
Bamberg, got on, this times hellish steps. so B amberg to schweinfurt then change again for train to bad kissingen, there was a confusion, if the train would actually go there. sometimes they split the waggons at certain stations. big discussions and cursing amongst the passingers waiting for train. finally train comes and we are told at about 14 km before bad kissingen we have to switch to a bus because of
construction work. they assured us the bus would take our bikes.ok then got out at a place called ebenhausen were the bus was waiting, bus driver did his best to shuff the bikes into the luggage compartment, but no go. So decided to ride the last 14 km home. mac was a little bit grumpy about it.
then he started arguing about which village we would come to first to turn to get to our house.
well I was right and we stopped first village and had half a liter beer each. He then felt much better and
on we went. turned right at second village onward to the house. Then he argued about a shortcut he  knew and I let him some hiking trail he had seen or gone . I knew it would be a longer way but what the hell. the hiking trail turned out to be a muddy path the farmers use to get to the fields. In the meantime the sky had turned into a big black cloud, the wind started howling, there was thunder and lightening and instandly it started raining and hailing. Had to push our bikes up the muddy path
 got soaking wet but finally reached the house and had a good laugh.
have to got to breakfast now.
