Bronnen castle
donau in the gorge
Along the trail
Archabby at Beuron
St Maurus chapel along the trail
Wildenstein castle
Warenweg Castle
Herb garden at a Kloister
Hohenzollern castle at Sigmaringen
The danube
We left Fridingen and after a couple of miles started in what might be called the most beautiful landscape along the German danube.  Rocky formations crowd the valley.  Shining limestone cliffs rise almost vertically and suggest that the Danube needed to wear a course thru the 300 meteres tall stone formations.  The upper reaches of the danube has the most castles on the short stretch between donaueshingen and sigmaringen.
we stopped at the archappy and caught a little of the monks chanting, on to the bikepath and a shor
stop in sigmaringen were there was a french festival , had some flammkuchen (Elsass specialty) beer and then some gelato.Every afternoon we stopp somewhere for italien gelato sooo good.
well onward to our hotel rebstock in mengen. there are storks living on top of the church tower and  lots   of stork sculptures all through town . fotos in the next blog
have to leave now on to the trail direction ulm
