Left the gesthaus and got on the trail to spring where the Donau starts.  The spring has been known since roman times.  We then went to where the Brigach and breg come together with the spring to form the headwaters of the danau.  We rode on to where the donau sinks into limestone caves and disappears to come up again 12k later.   We started looking for a room in Muehlheim but everythng was full.  It would have nice been to stay there as it is a pretty town.  On to Fridingen to Gesthaus Sonne.  Luckily we had called ahead because we got the last room.  A family came in with 5 kids age 1 to 7 with 3 adults.  4 of the kids bikes and packs just like the grownups.  The baby was in a bike trailer.
