From Bad Kissingen we rode up the valley along side the Saale River to Bad Bocklet.  Bad Bocklet has some nice gardens and spa buildings.  We then rode on to Steinach and finally saw the Riemenschneider in the church that we had missed on previous visits.  In 1945 the was a fierce tank battle by the town and a lot of the town was destroyed.  On to Bad Neustadt and had gellato on the plaza.  From there we rode to Munnerstadt and got a room.  Munnerstadt was first mentioned in 770.  There are some nice gates still standing and a large part of the walls  are still there.  The church has another Riemenschneider.  The man did a lot of carving.   The Rathaus dates back to 1130.  Our Room was the biggest we have had so far but also the most expensive and we were the only people staying there.  As usual the gesthaus is on the main drag so the it's quite noisy until everybody goes to bed.
