We were invited to Fred Hofmann's 91st birthday party on Monday. These are Johanna's cousins and the Hofmanns let us stay at the house on our trips there in the early 90s. The cakes, pies and champagne started at 1500. That took about 2 hours to complete and I thought it was over. But no we had to go inside and have dinner of fingerfoods and wine. Fred is at the head of the table and is really a nice man. His whole family is great. we always enjoy ourselves in their company. At least I didn't fall off my bike on the way home like I did after a night at the Rakoczyfest but that's another story for another time.
