August 7th 2015

We arrived in Noerdlingen yesterday August 6th. So last post should have been the 5th.

Yesterday morning we left our Hotel Ambiente in Feuchtwangen and rode along what was called the Karpfen radweg.  There were  some old Carp ponds dating back to the 14hundreds. Fish  were raised by the monasteries for lent, when eating meat was forbidden. We rode along a nice flat trail in the shade, but soon the up and down started.
We rode through beautiful open country with a village here and there. We reached Dinelsbuehl
another of the three medieval   towns in  middle Franconia The others being Rothenburg and Noerdlingen. We rode through the gate and along main street lined with the most amazing houses
dating back to the middle ages. The church of St.George is one of the most impressive Hall Churches of  Southern Germany.
We stopped at a cafe right by the church and had some drinks. It was warming up After taking some more pics we were on our way to Noerdlingen 36 km away. It was really getting hot and there were several hills to climb, but great downhills also.. Not many places to get food or drink. Finally got to a monastary in Fremdingen and had large Apfelschorle each. We arrived in Nordlingen at our Hotel "Zue Sonne at 5.00 p.m.  Felix the dog was also staying at the same hotel.  The main church was under renovation as this is the case with  a lot of the churches here.".
We had a nice dinner at the hotel sidewalk restauran  Cars are whizzing about 5 feet from us but it slows  down about dark.
