Today we spent all day riding around Munich. The bike trails in the city are great and well signed.
First we rode to Marienplatz which is the city center. It was packed with tourist waiting to see the famous Glokenspiel on the tower of city hall.We watched for just a bit since we have seen it many times before. Then went to Victualien Market which is always fun, all sorts of fruits vegetables, meat cheeses, sausages spices flowers and more are being sold there. There is also a biergarten of course.
Its always very busy there. My sister had told me about a little restaurant on a narrow .l ane off the market where she wanted to meet us for the delicious bavarien white sausages. We found the place on Heiliggeiststrasse and the place is called the Marktwirt. They have tables outside along the lane and
serve the best Weisswurst and Breezen,If you are ever in Munich go there you wont be sorry. Not many tourists find it.We met Bobi Nadine and Baby Pauli for lunch. .
If you ever go to Munich this is the place to go , its not far from the Viktualien Market
Ater Lunch we cruised down to the Eisbach to watch the surfers and people floating down the Eisbach, rode into the Englischen Garten passed the Chinese tower and on to Kleinhessloher See.
Later in the afternoon we me my sister, my nephew Christoph, his wife Susanne and my grandniece
Franziska for bier and breezen. We left them them at dusk and rode back to the city center for more Weisswurst, but found out they only serve it until 4.00 pm. so had some other sausages.
Mac the great navigator got us back to Felix apartment for some schnapps and luckily our Hotel is right around the corner.

ReplyDeleteOkay, you're going to have to explain that surfing to me. The beach on the river looks so inviting.
