For our rest day we thought we would take the ferry that crossed at Briedel but when we got there it was closed for the holiday.  So we rode the trail upstream to Reil.  When we crossed the bridge we saw a lot of people down by the water where there were benches and tables set up and a pavillion where wine was sold.  It happened to be  the 130 year celebration of the Reil's Mens choir.  There was a lot of singing and drinking going on but Mac thought it was too early to have wine so after listening to a few songs we headed downstream.  We rode downriver a ways and caught a little ferry  to the town of Bullay and then rode back to Briedel via Treis and Zell.  Lots of tourists everywhere and lots of bikers on the trail.  Back at Briedel it was nice and quiet while we sat in the sun along the river and watched the swans and boats.  For dinner we went back to the restaurant we were the prior night.  It was packed but the nice couple from Hannover was there and had reserve a table and we had dinner with them again.  We made their evening with our wild stories of biking adventures.  More hugs and goodbyes after dinner and  exchange of addresses.
