Eltville electoral castle. Johannas Gutenberg started the printing business here and Eltville is called one of the cradle towns of book printing
We decided to get on the trail again and head for the Rhein. Above Mainz we passed the confluence of the Main and the Rhein. We now had biked the whole Main river, a total of 533 Kilometres. We Didn,t cross the Rhein to go Mainz but pressed on toward the cute little village of Eltville with a pretty castle and narrow streets. We found the Hotel Glockenspiel, took a little walking along the river and thru the town, had dinner at a Greek Restaurant by the fountain where we talked to nice English couple. Tomorrow we will head into an area with lots of castlestowards Koblenz. |
