Thionville October 2nd 2014
After the move to our Hotel Olivier was completed we set out to Amniville to visit Mr. et Mme Langenfeld, Chantals parents. It was easy to find our way since we had the bikeline map and the biketrail nearly got us there. We were lost a few times, but Chantal could ask for direction and we soon were entering her town. We stopped at a boulangerie for some Cheesecake to bring along.
We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Roger et Mme Georgette. To my delight both spoke fluent German and in an instance I fell in love with them. We drank a whole bottle of wine from the Elsass. It was so wonderful to get to know them. Thank you Chantal for making it possible.
Mr. Langenfeld had played in a brass band and had been to Munich to hear and learn the music there, he had started a band in his town. .He loved Munich, the alps and the Octoberfest and the Bavarien Music. He proudly showed us photos of his band.
After a couple of hours we said good by and started back to Thionville to our charming little Hotel Oliviere, Picked up Mac and went for Dinner. For dessert Chantal ordered a beautiful Tart Tatin for us. So good.

After a breakfast of more delecious crossants we start our return trip to TrierWe stop in Remich luxembourg for some lunch .
We pass the Drei laender Eck (were the borders of France Luxemburg and Germany meet. We enter back into Germany. We wondered were we would spend the night and thought for sure we would get rooms again in Nittel were we stayed a few days ago. Paj and I were riding a ways behind the others when her bike got a flat tire. I caught up with the others and Mac and Linda and Paj worked on the tire. I started calling for rooms, but it was Friday and everything was booked. I even called in Trier but could not find anything there either.Chantal and I went into the Village to ask around, but there was nothing available. Well Paj bike was fixed and we had to ride on. There was talk of having to spend the night on a bench or under bushes somewhere. But don't despair I know we would find something somewhere, we always do., In Oberbillig there was a little Hotel called Reza's, Yes they had one double room with Shower and Wc and one room with bunks also with shower and wc. We jumped on it, What luck and the price was great too. 65.00 euros per room with breakfast.Mac and I set at the little outdoor bistro and had some beer to celebrate our Luck, Soon Chantal joined us.
We all had dinner at Reza's and decided to book for another night., so that we could spend the next day sightseeing in Trier.
The food at Reza's was very good.
