We toured around Bad Kissingen for two days and visited the church in Frauenroth to the north and along the the Saal River to the south.
We had the good fortune to attend a baroque concert with a wonderful symphony orchestra in the Riegentbau with Telemann, Handle, and Bach.
The weather has been very warm so far.
We took the train to Innsbruck on the 13th. The train is challenging, having to schlep the bikes with the panniers down several flights of stairs and back up to get to the right track. More good fortune smiled on us when a young girl helped us lift them up and even carried Johanna's for us. She was an angel.
Arriving in Austria provided beautiful views of the Alps and Tyrolean villages. We made our way to the hotel after 9 hours of train travel. Dinner was at the Stifltwirt where we enjoyed Austrian fare of sausages, dumplings and Augustiner Beer, brewed in Munchen. And of course, struedal and schlag.
