After spending a week at the house we were anxious to hit the trail again. Since we have company coming from Munich on Friday and a concert to go to on Sunday we decided on a short trip closer to home and no train ride. So we started right on the bike trail in Bad Kissingen going north through the local mountains called Rhoen. After 60 some km.we reached the small town of Bischofsheim were we found a room at a private house for only 21.00 per person including breakfast.That evening we only found one restaurant open for dinner. On Mondays most Gasthauses are closed.
On the trip up the weather was not too bad and it did not rain. We only past 2 other bike tourist on the way. For the most part the trail was paved following an old railroad bed.
