Esslingen Sunday Sept. 15 2013

We are stuck in Esslingen at an expensive Hotel, because we had a flat tire on Louise's rented bike.
the tire was already pretty worn when we started and we should have given it some attention. Sunday's shops are not open here, so we have to wait until tomorrow until we can buy a new tube and tire.
Since we have  internet I'll try to post a few photos .
On the way from Villingen to Mary Baumann's B&B in Sulz we climbed up to this Castle Ruins Albeck one of the nicest ruins of the Black Forest.

on our way to Rottenburg our next lodging we stopped at the little 15th century town of Horb it once belonged to Austria photo of Rathaus(townhall)

We could not get rooms in Esslingen last night Saturday, so called a listing from the bikeline book, but it turned out to be way up on a hill above the vineyards, so the owner - chef came down to fetch us with the bikes, we had great food and wine and nice quiet rooms up there. breakfast was the best also. This morning we rode down through the vineyards and went across the river to find Mikes childhood neighborhood. He thinks we were sort of close, but of course in 60 years things have changed. We crossed back over to Esslingen via the Pliensau Bridge and got back on the bike trail direction Stuttgart when the tire on Louise's bike blew. Now we are stuck here and have to make the best of it.
This is all for today more when we have good internet again
