I don't know what happened, but the report from September 10 in Salzburg did not get published.
Anyway after meeting M and W we decided to spend another night,so we could do some sightseeing.
After breakfast we got on the bikes and cruised into Old Town.. The city is very bike friendly with bike lanes on the busy streets.. We rode through Getreidegasse, famous for Mozarts birth house, through Goldgasse on to Residenze Platz with its beautiful fountain, to Dom Platz,,visited the Dom and on to Old Market. We took a ride to check out Pferdeschwemme from 1600, a fountain where the horses were bathed across from the Marstall (Stables) From there we rode to Mirabell Castle with it's beautiful gardens. WE decided to ride to Hellbrunn Castle famous for its many trick water fountains. On the way back we stopped at an out door cafe at Mozart Platz.
