Atkinson to Neligh

Left Atkinson on a warm Alberta smokey day. The trail had a lot of loose gravel and was slow going with the headwind and we were planning to do 61 miles today. A biker passed us going west and he was riding on the road. We thought why not and got on the hwy. and things went a lot easier but we were still maybe going to be short of power. At Oneill we stopped at their refurbished train station nad had snacks. We got into Ewing and stopped at a gas station mini mart and I asked the clerk if we could charge our batts for an hour and she said fine. After sandwich and drinks and icecream we got back on the road and rolled on to Neligh. Along the way there was a turtle on the yellow stripe so I stopped and helped him across. We crossed the Elkhorn river several times. At Neligh We went to the motel I'd reserved and it looked ok untill we got to bed. It was the worst bed ever. The people were over the top nice but still the bed ruined it. Had a great Mexican dinner and watched basketball. disclaimer We have not figured out how to get the pics in order and with a caption when using an Ipad. It was easy with windows but oh well.
